We say that there are two sides to every story. Let’s say for the sake of discussion, there is his side and her side.
Every person enters into interactions with “baggage”- memories and lessons from past experiences, vulnerabilities, sensitivities, tendencies, etc. Every new interaction each person goes through is influenced and coloured by the “baggage”. In other words, everyone has a filter or a lens through which they experience life. That filter/lens is tinted by the past and by preconceived ideas about the present and future. That means that no one experiences life in its pure form!
So there really isn’t two sides to every story; there are three. His, hers and the truth.
What would your relationships be like if both parties looked for the truth?
