The stress of daily living is no joke.

Sometimes stress is obvious (ex. a sudden big life change) but oftentimes, stress goes unnoticed because it is "little" or "not a big deal" or "I'm just used to it" (ex. the "normal" heaviness of feeling like a failure). 

Without the right tools and skills, both the obvious and the not-so-obvious stress gets stored and accumulates in the nervous system and the body. This leads to some pretty ugly consequences you don't want, such as:
 
- Stress decreases your ability to think clearly, make wise decisions, and to concentrate and focus.
- It erodes the way you feel about yourself and the way you show up in the world. 
- It drains your energy and disrupts your sleep. 
- It strains relationships. 
- It gets in the way of you achieving your goals and living the life you say you want.
- It is a major contributing factor to illnesses, diseases, conditions, and imbalances such as heart disease, cancer, diabetes, and obesity.

Pretty much if something isn't going well in your life, stress is the key player.

There is more to living than "staying alive", "just making it by" or saying "it's just the way it is."

What if you had the tools and skills to release the stress in your life? 
In this 7-week series, I will guide you in releasing life stress and regulating your nervous system by using Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) / "Tapping". It is a research-based stress reduction technique that involves using your fingertips to tap on acupressure points on your hands, face, and body.


This series is for you if:


  • You are experiencing stress in any area of your life.
  • You feel anxious, overwhelmed, upset, nervous, "blah" and can't seem to shake it off.
  • You stay busy to avoid feeling the feelings that arise when you sit still.
  • You can't really put a finger on how you're feeling but you wish you felt better.
  • You want to feel more "like yourself" again.
  • You struggle to be kind to yourself.
  • You've tried other stress-reduction methods but they don't seem to make much of a difference or they don't last.
  • You repeat behaviours you want and try to stop (ie. pulling hair, picking skin, smoking, drinking, self-harming, working too much, people-pleasing, biting nails)

Weekly Topics:
Week 1: Understanding Stress

In this session, we will explore the concept of stress - what it is (and what it isn't), where it comes from and how EFT can release it. We'll get curious about how stress is showing up in the 5 domains of your life.

Week 2: Health and Body

In this session, we will look at the life domain of your Health and Body. We will address stress around how your body looks, how it feels, how it functions, and what the future holds for it.

Week 3: Love and Relationships

In this session, we will look at the life domain of Love and Relationships. We will address stress around finding love, keeping love, expressing love, and what happens if you lose it.

Week 4: Purpose, Meaning, Spirit in Life

In this session, we will look at the life domain of Purpose, Meaning, and Spirit of Life. We will address stress around why you're here, what your life means, authentic living, and how you'll be remembered.

Week 5: Wealth and Abundance

In this session, we will look at the life domain of Wealth, Abundance, and Money. We will address stress around both the practical and emotional components including security, freedom, and how money relates to your identity.

Week 6: Work and Vocation

In this session, we will look at the life domain of Work and Vocation. We will address stress around finding and keeping your job, doing well in it, finding meaning in it, and how it reflects on who you are.

Week 7: Moving Forward with Confidence

In this session, you will learn how to use Tapping/EFT on your own and address any stress or questions about the process. We will also address any unconscious resistance to moving forward and reaching your higher potential.
Even if you think your stress is only in one life domain, I encourage you to attend all 7 sessions because all the life domains interrelate. No matter how much you might try to separate your life into neat compartments, you've got the same one nervous system dealing with it all.

Benefits of the group format

  • "Borrowing Benefits". This is a phenomenon that has been observed, studied, and verified. When in a group, even though you may not be tapping on details that are specific to your unique life experience, you will still release your stress - you "borrow the benefits" from the other members of the group as they release their own stress, too! Talk about group support!!
  • Choose your level of sharing. You don't have to share anything you don't feel comfortable sharing with the group...and you will still benefit!
  • Common humanity. Oftentimes, it can feel like everyone one else has life figured out and you are the only one who doesn't have your shit together. An important part of the healing journey is recognizing that every one of us struggles and what you are experiencing is a part of being human.
  • Safe space. Every member of the group will provide unconditional positive regard for you, so you can come as you are, flaws and all. This is a space for healing, not judging.
  • Shared spotlight. With more than just you in the group, the "spotlight" doesn't have to be directed on you alone, making it safer to release stress without the pressure.
  • Cost effective. Tapping in a group format is a more cost-effective way to benefit from EFT/Tapping than private one-on-one sessions.
